RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- According to a tweet from Jon Ralston of Ralston Reports, Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto has filed an official complaint against the Washoe County School District Board of Trustees for the events surrounding the alleged firing of Pedro Martinez last month.

In a second tweet, Ralston continues by saying the complaint is "one of most devastating I have seen against a public body. 7 counts of violations of public trust."

Ralston says the Attorney General's Office wants up to $500 from each trustee for violating Nevada's Open Meeting Law and public trust.

This is all the information News 4 has obtained at this time. Stay with us for further developments.

A copy of the complaint filed by Nevada AG Catherine Cortez Masto has been attached for review.

News 4 has also obtained transcripts of interviews with each trustee and Martinez in regard to the meeting in which said violations occurred. They are attached to this story.

Disregarding the law is SOP with that district and many others around the country. Teachers and others who have been booted out have known about the district's antics for years. The district's administrators openly flout the law, thumbing their noses at it, daring wronged parties to sue. That's not the way the legal system is supposed to be used. It's only because of the high profile of both parties that the public is even made aware of how lawless this district truly is.

Not just one violation of the law, but SEVEN! The Open Meeting Law isn't something new. Both Aiazzi and Rosenberg were definitely familiar with the requirements from their previous experience yet raised no concern or even attempted to stop the action from happening. This is a blatant disregard of the public trust from six individuals who believe they are above the law and not accountable to anybody. They have no business being in public office and should resign. If not, let the recall continue and replace these bums with people who value the laws of Nevada.
