NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — A 36-year-old North Las Vegas woman has been arrested after police say she'd tie her young daughter to a bed and lock her up for hours on end with little to eat or drink and no access to a bathroom.
Police say they responded about 2 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a 4-year-old found alone in an apartment on Cheyenne Avenue.
Authorities say the child was taken to University Medical Center and treated for injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening.
Investigators say the mother apparently tied the girl to the bed by her ankle and locked the bedroom door for as much as 10 to 12 hours a day, up to seven days a week since early February.
Lakesha Moore was booked on 31 felony counts of child abuse.
