Carson City, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Officials in Carson City have announced the discovery of a body that they suspect may belong to missing state employee William McCune.

According to police reports on the incident, at 8:10 a.m. this morning Sheriff's Search and Rescue teams found a wrapped body in the Carson River, south of Carson River Road. The body was then taken to Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office, where it is set to be autopsied. The body has not been fully identified at this time, but officials have indicated that they believe it to be McCune's.

Yesterday morning Carson City Sheriff's Office performed a welfare check on McCune's home on Silver Oak Drive in Carson city after reports that McCune had missed work and a scheduled flight earlier that day. When deputies arrived the home was unoccupied, but that a severe struggle had taken place inside the apartment.

Based on detectives investigation, last night Carson City Special Enforcement officers were dispatched to Las Vegas to detain three persons of interest in this case. Early this morning the team arrived in Vegas, where they arrested Makyla L. Blackmore, Raul Garcia, Anthony Elliot as suspects. They are expected to be moved to Carson City within the week.

Locally, Carson City officials also have arrested Michael Paul Evans in relation to the murder. Evans is charged with murder, battery with a deadly weapon, burglary, and murder of an older person. Blackmore and Garcia are charged with burglary, and Elliot is charged with murder.

Forensic specialists are still searching McCune's home for further evidence, and say they expect the investigation to be finished early next week. Although four have been arrested and charged, investigators say that the investigation remains open and more suspects may be involved.

Anyone with additional information on this crime are asked to report it to the Sheriff's Office at 775-887-2500.

@Kramer. He worked for the Nevada Division of Insurance. The drug comment is from an ignorant person. Bill was one of the kindest, gentle, giving and generous souls......for real. Sounds like the motive was burglary.

which State Agency did he work for? Is this related, such as if it was a social services or DMV, thus he is a 'target'? Or is this not germane? The "bad drug deal" comment is insensitive and ignorant. NV4, could you do the work for once?
