TRUCKEE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A woman is dead after a crash on SR-89S that happened Nov. 26.
California Highway Patrol says driver Luliana Leonte, 25, was driving a 2002 Jeep northbound on SR-89S north of Fairway Drive when she made a sweeping right and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then turned and crossed both lanes of SR-89S and overturned into two trees. CHP says this impact caused 25-year-old passenger Andrea Enache to suffer fatal injuries.
CHP is still investigating, but they say alcohol and drugs were not factors in this incident. Any witnesses should call Truckee CHP at (530) 582-7570.
