The domestic disturbance call is the most dangerous "routine" call an officer faces during his shift. They are rapidly evolving, everyone is amped up (victim and perpretrator) and when you get there, everyone turns on you! When they happen in the home, weapons are everywhere; home defense guns, knives (a big old 12" kitchen knife is way more dangerous than anoyone's pocket knife)and YES, baseball bats can be a deadly weapon and require the use of deadly force to stop the attack. I am glad the officer and hopefully the victim is OK.

Until you have taken the training passed the exams and worked the beat do not judge if you haven't responded to a domestic call
