What about bicyclists? This could be a Death Trap for Bicyclists. Having bicyclists compete with with motor vehicles in a roundabout is an extremely dangerous situation. Currently there are painted bicycle lanes on Mayberry on both sides of Hunter Lake Drive. What would happen to them if a roundabout is installed?

If it's going to be build, do them wright. So far they are pretty useless, very confusing and hard to navigate. But, that's typical Reno, can't do anything wright.

Modern roundabouts are the safest form of intersection in the world. Visit http://tinyurl.com/iihsRAB for modern roundabout FAQs and safety facts. Modern roundabouts, and the pedestrian refuge islands approaching them, are two of nine proven safety measures identified by the FHWA, http://tinyurl.com/7qvsaem The FHWA has a video about modern roundabouts that is mostly accurate (http://tinyurl.com/6v44a3x).

tRTC had a bunch of meetings about Keystone Ave. Plenty of helmeted bike advocates were there to fine-tune RTC's micro-managing of their interests and infrastructure. Meanwhile, after 3 years or more, the interchange under I-80 at Keystone-and the connecting ramps- are a cratered, rumpled mess owing to the overburdened construction traffic they endured. Howsabout some un-deferred maintenance, RTC?
