Police: Man with 2 samurai swords threatens OC shoppers in Mexican restaurant parking lot

Police say a man has been arrested after shouting threats to bystanders while wielding two samurai swords at a busy Orange County shopping Center.

@Paladin The swords all alone on your wall are legal. It's when you take them out in public and threaten people is where they become deadly weapons. This guy is lucky the police didn't just shoot him. Getting close to use the stun gun, put the police in jeopardy of being killed. Another excellent job by the police.

What law makes the owning of a samurai sword illegal?? It wouldn't surprise me in the Republic of California where it illegal to do or possess just about anything. More accurately, the police seized the swords as evidence of the crime of attempted battery with a deadly weapon. The swords themselves are not the crime.
