RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection with multiple robberies and purse thefts.
Reno Police say 37-year-old Matthew Larson was arrested in connection with two purse larcenies and an attempted robbery of a fast food restaurant that all happened Mar. 5.
Police say Larson was also allegedly the suspect in the Mar. 6 robbery of a gas station near 9th and Virginia streets and a nearby drug store. Officers found the suspect inside a downtown business and took him into custody without incident. The suspect was still in possession of items linking him to the robberies. Larson said he had a weapon, but it was never shown or found.
He was charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of attempted robbery, five counts of burglary and one count of petty larceny.
