Police look for suspects in armed robbery of home in Sparks

SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Police are looking for the armed suspects who robbed a home in Sparks.

The incident happened Feb. 6 around 1am at 565 Sparks Blvd. in the Park Vista Apartments. The victim says he heard a loud noise coming from within his apartment. He said he was sleeping in the bedroom with his wife, and his two young children were sleeping on the couch in the living room.

Upon coming out of the bedroom, the victim encountered a subject armed with a firearm, dressed in black, with a mask covering his face. The victim said that he was hit with something heavy before hearing a gunshot. The victim sustained some minor scratches on his arm.

The suspects took a laptop computer and fled the residence.

A witness later told the police that she had seen three males running from the area. Upon further investigation, police say it was discovered that the front door to the residence was forced open and one round was fired from an undisclosed firearm.

The only injury that was the sustained was by the male victim who refused medical assistance, police say.

Sparks Police say the suspects were described as follows:

-A possibly Asian male between 20-25. He's said to be 5'9 and 170 lbs. He was also armed.

-An unknown race male, who was approximately 5'6 and 160 lbs.

- An unknown race male, who was approximately 5'9" to 5'10" tall.

All of the suspects were wearing all black including ski masks that hid their faces and gloves.

Sparks Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects. Those with information leading to arrest will be given a $1,500 reward
