Police officer accused of assisting criminals released on bail

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The South Lake Tahoe police officer who was arrested and accused of helping gang members and drug traffickers has been released on $100,000 bail.

Last week, News 4 first reported that Johnny Poland was arrested on five counts of witness tampering. He's also being accused of having sex with underage girls. According to court documents, Poland could face more state charges.
