**UPDATE****
Power has been resorted to all NV Energy customers in Sparks. According to Stefanie McCaffrey with NV Energy, the outage was caused by a snake that slithered onto a transformer causing the snake to be electrocuted and the transformer to short out.

Sparks, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Approximately six hundred and fifty people were without power this afternoon. The outage began shortly after 12:30 on Saturday afternoon.
The outage is impacting residents in the Spanish Springs area of sparks near Palermo Drive.
According to Stefanie McCaffrey with NV Energy, crews are on scene attempting to repair the outage.
McCaffrey says they're not sure what caused the outage, but that high winds may be a factor.
