RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Kara White, the principal for Lemmon Valley Elementary was placed on administrative leave two weeks ago, according to Vicki Campbell with Washoe County School District.
Families were notified by a call from the school district. A substitute principal is in place. The substitute is a retired former principal in the Washoe County School District named Muriel Paille Dickey.
WCSD says they're not sure how long Dickey will be in place.
No reasons are given for White’s dismissal except that it’s a personnel issue.
