YERINGTON, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Jerry Ogolin, former principal of Yerington High School, died of liver cancer at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
Ogolin had been the principal at Yerington since 2006 and according to the school district, Ogolin had been in and out of the hospital with his illness but was still the current principal. There will be a public memorial assembly at the Yerington High School Gym at 10 a.m. All Yerington-area schools will be closed on Monday, December 10. All other schools will be open on regular schedule.
