Reno man arrested for firing crossbow at neighbors

RENO, Nev. -- After allegedly firing several crossbow bolts at nearby residents, 54-year-old James Arena was arrested on five charges of suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident occurred on the 13th block of East Taylor Street in southeast Reno at 11 p.m. May 3rd. Arena allegedly fired several rounds from a crossbow hitting one man in the arm. The victim was checked into Renown but has been released, according to Tim Broadway of the Reno Police Department.

Arena was booked in and remains at Washoe County Jail. Bail was set at $120,000.
