CORRECTION - Sheriff's Office Booking and Records personnel have verified that Michael Reynolds' Probation Violation charge was an error and has been corrected. Since the charge no longer stands, Reynolds' bail has been set at $25,740.

SUN VALLEY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Police have arrested a man after he allegedly committed a burglary and crashed his car into a fence.

Washoe County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened around 6:50am Feb. 20 in the area of Yukon Drive and Maricopa Drive. Police were called to a report of a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies found a downed street sign, a white Oldsmobile sedan that apparently had been driven through a wooden fence and into a residence on Miwok Court. The suspected driver of the vehicle entered a residence on Miwok Court. A homeowner lawfully detained the intruder by holding him at gunpoint inside the homeowner's residence.

Deputies arrested the intruder, identified as Michael Reynolds a 23-year-old Sun Valley resident. Reynolds was charged with Burglary, Failing to Stay at an Accident with Property Damage, Destroying Property of Another over $5,000, and a Probation Violation.

Reynolds was booked into the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility without incident. Reynolds is being held without bail due to the Probation Violation.

nubgnngs42. Not all gun owners are robbers. You must be one of those people that run a way with the negative side of something and get themselves riled up over it ON PURPOSE. This guy got off lucky. The homeowner controlled himself and didn't shoot the perp. I on the other hand, probably would have if I had a weapon. The way he blasted into that guys home is terrorism. Yes terrorism. Maybe the perp, the wannabe's, and others that like to rob banks should serve at GITMO for domestic terrorism.

Roseanya would you rather the guy got away? If you are packin' a legal weapon then it's your right to defend your property. DaveAsh, why are his eyeballs red? Mine are red all of the time from allergies. I don't do drugs either. It's the freakin' pollen and the dog dander because I got 3 dogs that I won't give up. So I have to deal with it with Visine allergy eye drops.
