---UPDATE 11:30 a.m.---
According to a press release from the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), 79 year-old Gloria Melms of Reno was driving her green 1999 Toyota 4-Runner SUV, when she drifted off the left roadway edge of the freeway ramp, where it struck a small road marker post. NHP say that Melms was extricated from her vehicle by Reno Fire Department personnel and was transported by REMSA to Renown for minor injuries. She was also issued a citation for not using due care while operating a vehicle
