SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Prosecutors have charged a San Francisco man accused of fatally shooting another man trying to sell PlayStation 4 gaming with murder.
Defendant Ronnie Collins did not enter a plea during his arraignment in San Francisco Superior Court on Wednesday to charges that also include two counts of attempted robbery with firearm enhancement allegations.
The 21-year-old Collins is accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Ikenna Uwakah of Daly City during the apparent transaction in San Francisco's Bayview District on Sunday.
Assistant District Attorney Scot Clark referred to Collins during his arraignment as a "Christmas-time predator."
Collins' lawyer, Deputy Public Defender Mark Jacobs, says his client is being unfairly portrayed and called Clark's comments "character assassination."
Collins is being held on $5 million bail and is due back in court on Monday.
