SPD responds to male assaulted by multiple suspects

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- Sparks Police Department responded to a report of an assault early Tuesday morning on the 2200 block of Greenbrae.

The victim, whose name is being withheld, alleged that three black males attacked him while he was sitting in his vehicle around 3:39 a.m. The suspects struck the victim multiple times with a stick and when the victim tried to run away, he was stabbed in the leg and his wallet was taken from him, according to a recent press release by SPD.

The suspects are described as two adult black males approximately 18 to 20 years of age. They are of thin build and between 5 ft. 8 inches and 6 ft. tall. According to SPD, one was wearing a white and black striped shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The third suspect is being described as a black male juvenile approximately 16 years of age and 5 ft. tall. He was wearing a white striped shirt with blue shorts.

All three suspects ran westbound on Greenbrae towards El Rancho and left the area prior to police arrival. The victim of the assault was transported to Renown with non-life-threatening injuries. Sparks Police is asking those with information regarding this incident to contact Detectives at 775-353-2225 or Secret Witness.
