SPARKS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) – A SWAT team was called to a home in Sparks during a house search leaving three people in custody.

At around 8 p.m. Tuesday night detectives from Sparks and Reno Police Departments served a search warrant on fraud-related charges at the 800 block of Glen Valley Drive in Sparks.  According to detectives Kristopher Woolfe, Mary Ferdinand, and Keyon Chavarria are in the Washoe County Jail on multiple fraud charges such as forged checks and credit cards, traffic charges, and other existing criminal warrants. Through the course of the investigation, information was obtained indicating that there could be multiple firearms inside the house.

Detectives say at the time of the search Ferdinand and Chavarria were inside the home and refused to leave the house as ordered which prompted detectives to call the Sparks SWAT Team.  Eventually they both exited the home and were taken into custody without further incident.

The Washoe County Animal Control were also called to assist with multiple aggressive pit bulls.

Exact charges and bail amounts for each have not been determined at this time and the investigation is continuing.
