Secret Witness Offers Reward for Info on Armed Robbers

In an updated press release, investigators have revealed that the suspects in this case may be involved in a series of other vehicle thefts in eastern and northeastern Sparks, including the theft of a Dodge Durango taken from the 1100 block of Rancho Mirage.
Police say that the investigation is ongoing, but that they have identified several likely suspects. They are still asking for anyone with additional information to report it to Secret Witness.

Sparks, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)--Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a man in the area of Express and Sabatino early the morning of Sunday, January 6th.

According to a press release, Sparks Police recieved a call reporting an armed robbery at 5:38 a.m. near the intersection of Express and Sabatino Drive. The victim, a 21 year old Sparks resident, was pulled from his car by two men, one of whom threatened him with a handgun. The robbers then took the victims car, a silver Suzuki. The car was later found empty.

The suspects had been driving an older model, silver or gold Cadillac. The victim described the suspects as two Tongan men, both wearing gray or white sweaters, between the ages of 17 and 19.  

Secret Witness is offering a reward of $1,500.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the two suspects. Anyone with information relating to the crime or the suspects is asked to contact the Sparks Police Department at 331-2225, or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
