RENO, NV. (KRNV & – Spokesperson for the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, Brian Kulpin, says there was a security breach at the airport Monday morning.

Security was shut down for up to 90 minutes after Kulpin says two people accidentally walked into a wrong area that breached security. The concourse, which is the area after passing security, was evacuated as well as planes.

TSA along with airport police performed a security sweep before passengers were allowed back through the concourse. Every passenger had to go back through security as well.

The security line was backed up for sometime, but passengers commented on the speediness of the line once security was back open. Kulpin admits some passengers likely missed flights and some flights were delayed.

Kulpin says safety is always a number one priority.

I have to agree that the breach was not TSA unless they are responsible for putting up signs. The airport seems to care more about pointing out the new restaurants (I counted a McDonalds) and other amenities that do not yet appear to exist.

You should know what you are talking about before you comment. If you weren't here you wouldn't know. It was not in any way TSA's fault.

It should not be possible to "accidently" breach security. That is a failure of TSA.
