RENO, Nev. (AP) — A 50-year-old Reno man suspected of starting at least 10 fires southeast of downtown has been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for second-degree arson.

Reno Fire Prevention Capt. Tray Palmer says Mike Malucelli continued to exhibit traits of a serial arsonist after serving two previous prison terms for arson.

He told Washoe District Judge Brent Adams that since May 2009 there have been more than 20 arson fires within a two-block radius of Malucelli's home off Wells Avenue.

Investigators linked him to half of those, including one they say he started in the basement of a house next to his in September. They say the fires stopped after his arrest.

The judge said Tuesday he'll have to serve at least four years before he's considered for parole.

and yet- MA is where the (real) Tea Party happened (it was an event, not a 'surge') and also where we got Romneycare. So, let's let the Bay State slide, chums

"gets sentenced" doesn't "get" it. drop the "get" ( or try 'is') and learn basic grammar rules.

Cheer up. If this were Massachusetts he would have gotten off with probation and ordered to get treatment for his "illness". Just about everything is considered an illness there, and excuses many criminal acts.

With all his prior convictions, 4-10 years is not enough.
