Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Across northern Nevada, celebrations were held to commemorate Veteran's day, November 11th.
The city of Reno hosted their annual parade and concert to honor those who've served in the military. The theme of their Veteran's day events this year was "For Those Who Served, Every Day is Veterans Day".
Their parade began at 11:11 am on South Virginia and marched north toward 5th Street. After the parade there was be a celebratory concert in the Washoe County Courthouse parking lot from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Meanwhile, Virginia City is also hosted a parade of their own. The Virginia City Parade also began at 11:11 and traveled down C street. Joining the Virginia City Parade was Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, who marched alongside veterans of the Korean War.
