Reno, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- The South Reno Food Truck Fest will happen on the last Friday of each month from now through May.

It was a packed house tonight, Jan. 31, 2014 at the newly remodeled Damonte Family Event Center at Sage Hill. Tonight marked the first monthly food truck fest in south Reno, and it was quite a hit.

Local sound and local food brought out all ages to the Food Truck Fest. Organizers say winter weather can sometimes cause a winter slump for food truck owners, but for Joe Arduna tonight was a success.

“It’s great, ya know, Reno comes together and helps support the food trucks in cold weather, we thought a few people would come check it out, but the demand has been crazy,” says Arduna, owner of Brothers Barbeque.

It was so busy, Brothers Barbeque had to start turning customers away. Eleven other food trucks were just as popular with lines forming at each one. Patrons say there’s something for everyone.
