Sparks Police on lookout for child lurers

UPDATE - FEB. 4  - 11:35AM - Sparks Police say they have received a couple tips from Secret Witness and from other officers, but nothing has led to any arrests. 




Sparks, NV (KRNV & MyNews4.com)-- Sparks police are looking for two men who attempted to lure a child into their SUV.

Police say that they were called to the 700 block of Glen Molly after reports of child luring early on the evening of February 2nd.

According to reports, at around 5 p.m. a young girl walking home from a friend's house was approached by two men in a small, green SUV. According to the girl, the men asked her to get into the car. When she refused, the men drove away.

The vehicle is described as a green, early 1990's SUV, similar to a GMC Jimmy or small blazer. The two men in the car are described as white males in their 40s to 50s with long straight grey hair. They were last seen driving north on McCarran Boulevard. 

Anyone with more information on the men or their SUV is asked to contact Sparks Police Detectives at 353-2225 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

I read this Saturday night and YESTERDAY on the Morning report. How many times is it going to be repeated. I realize that there are a couple pedophiles out there but it should also be put on the air?
