RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- As of 12 p.m. Monday, traffic is still backed up due to multiple incidents including a gravel spill and 20-car pile up on I-80 westbound.

Thanks to NDOT and various fire agencies, one lane is clear; but traffic is still moving at a trickle and is backed up as far as Fernley.

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- News 4 is at the scene of several incidents on I-80 westbound near Derby Dam that have left traffic backed up.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, three loads of gravel fell off a vehicle onto I-80 at Orchard near Painted Rock around 9:30 a.m. The disbursed gravel is thought to be the cause of the 20-car pile-up.

NHP is investigating the subsequent crashes. Nine victims were transported by ground to a hospital in Reno with non-life threatening injuries. The exact hospital is unknown. One lane has been opened but traffic is still extremely backed up.

A woman waiting in traffic possibly went into labor and was transported by Care Flight into a Reno hospital.

donlar, don't you know how to use google maps or do you even know where painted rock is at? If you have a computer "Google It". Yeesh. If you live in Reno and go East once in a while you should know where it's at. Provide a map? Some of us don't need one if you know the area.

When it rains,it pours, right? Best wishes to the new Mom and baby-good story to tell in another 10 years. Hey,since they're cleaning up all that gravel anyway,I'll volunteer to let them dump the "road debris" here.

Good reporting would have included a map of the incident location on I-80!
