SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) – According to Lake Tahoe News, reports say Cal-OSHA officials were at Tahoe Keys Marina in early April to see if the South Lake Tahoe facility is in compliance. Officials found that it is not.

“We are working on getting all of our forklifts and equipment up to standard,” a marina employee told Lake Tahoe News. “We are trying to upgrade everything to get everything up to standard so we have a good summer.”

A source close to the marina told Lake Tahoe News that despite the ban on using certain equipment, employees are continuing to use the heavy machinery.

While some of the equipment is not supposed to be used, boats are still able to launch and the Fresh Ketch restaurant is open.

If any infractions are found at the end of the investigation, it is possible the marina will be fined.
