TRUCKEE, Calif. (Mynews4.com & KRNV)-A Tahoe local is gaining national attention through a weather blog he started more than five years ago.
Bryan Allegretto, 32, is originally from New Jersey. He moved to Truckee several years ago and started a blog, www.Tahoeweatherdiscussion.com. The site has grown significantly in popularity over the past few years because it is surprisingly accurate. Allegretto however is not an Meteorologist, he says he is a self taught snow forecaster. He took a few classes in college and now spends hours going over models before heading to work as an Accountant.
Allegretto's blog became so popular, he started receiving attention from Meteorologist nationwide. He is now blogging for a national site, opensnow.com featuring weather experts from regions across the country.
Allegretto says if the site does well, he hopes to make Snow Forecasting and blogging his day job.
