LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Southern California high school teacher has pleaded guilty to charges she had sex with two students.
The Pasadena Star-News says 43-year-old Gabriela Cortez entered pleas on Monday to six felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.
She's free on bail pending sentencing in January. The judge says he will await a probation report before deciding on a sentence.
Cortez taught Spanish at Roosevelt High School in East Los Angeles. She was placed on leave after her February arrest.
Prosecutors say Cortez had sex at her Montebello home with two male students who were 16 and 17 years old at the time.
