Former Pack star wide receiver Brandon Wimberly received an invite to the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie camp, according to Nevada Head Football Coach Brian Polian.
At 6’3”, 225 lbs Wimberly was Cody Fajardo's favorite target last season at Nevada. He had 97 catches for 989 yards with 8 touchdowns. Wimberly’s a big, strong receiver who rarely drops the ball.
The Jags chose QB Blake Bortles out of Central Florida as their number one pick, 3rd overall.
Meanwhile, former Nevada punter Chase Tenpenny has found a new home in Southern California. The San Diego Chargers have signed Tenpenny to an undisclosed contract as an undrafted free agent.
Tenpenny has the size. He's 6’4” 250 lbs and averaged 44.5 yards per punt last season for the Pack.
