DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. ( & KRNV) – A multi-vehicle crash near Lake Tahoe has claimed the life of a three-year-old boy.

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers tell us the crash involving three vehicles happened around 8:40 p.m. last night on Highway 50 just North of Cave Rock. The highway was closed in both directions for a long period of time last night, but we've been told all lanes of Highway 50 are now open.

Investigators say an SUV crossed the double yellow lines and side swiped another SUV before hitting a mini-van head on. Besides the three-year-old who was killed in the crash, 8 people were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

KOLONews8 doesn't let spammers breach their website. So why does News4 allow it to happen time and again? These are stories of deaths of children and somehow, advertising makes it through. Not to mention spelling is very often incorrect in the actual news stories and, as well in the get rich schemes. Could you please step your game up so your news station doesn't seem like it came from the producers of Reno911?

Was the child even in a car seat restraint or sitting in someone's lap? RIP little guy. Who ever was at fault for the collision now there is a question of Manslaughter(child slaughter).
