VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- If you don't have plans this Labor Day weekend, you can head up to Virginia City to the traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall.
The wall passed through Reno today on its way to Carson City and then its final destination of Virginia City. It was escorted by Ghost Riders, VFW Riders, and Carson City Sheriff's Deputies. Comstock Civil War re-enactors will be presenting the traveling memorial throughout the weekend at the Silverland Hotel.
This wall is about 80 percent of the size of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. In total, 58,000 names are etched all on the wall.
The dedication ceremony will be held Friday night at 5 pm. All other events with the memorial wall are free of charge.
