TRUCKEE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Truckee Police received several tips from people over Thanksgiving weekend regarding stolen items from their vehicles. The items taken included electronics and personal property.
Yesterday, Dec. 10, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office arrested Wiley Washam on an unrelated matter. During their investigation, a detective noticed Washam was in possession of a distinct property item which was found to be recently reported stolen.
Following additional information, Truckee Police detectives and officers searched a local residence in Truckee and recovered numerous stolen items, including pieces of identification belonging to victims, which linked many of the Thanksgiving weekend theft cases to the individual arrested by Placer County. The occupant of the residence searched by Truckee Police was found in possession of stolen property.
Brittany Nash of Truckee, was also arrested by Truckee Police for possession of stolen property, conspiracy and criminal activity while on bail. Wiley Washam, of Truckee, was additionally charged with possession of stolen property and conspiracy through Placer County.
