SUSANVILLE, Calif. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Two have been arrested for firing rounds into a home and a vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained.
On January 15, 2013, at around 9pm, the Susanville Police Department was dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of N. Mesa St. on a report of shots fired into a residence. Upon arrival, officers say that the suspects fired a firearm into the residence from the alley and fled the scene.
A short time later, the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office responded to a similar call on Johnstonville Road, where the suspects fired multiple rounds into a home and an unoccupied vehicle then fled the scene.
Police say the evidence collected at both scenes led investigators to believe that the two incidents were connected. As a result of the initial investigation, an adult male and a juvenile male, both of Susanville, have been apprehended.
Due to the pending investigation, the identities of the individuals are being withheld at this time.
The cases are still under investigation. If anyone has any information about either of these cases, they are urged to contact our 24 hour dispatch center at (530) 257-2171.
