UPDATE: Sparks hit and run victim succumbs to injuries

SPARKS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- On July 14th, the Major Accident investigation Team (MAIT) was notified by the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s office that Mr. Kenneth Roger Stewart had succumbed to his injuries resulting from the vehicle accident, according to a press release sent by NHP Trooper Dave Gibson. Mr. Stewart was pronounced deceased on July 13th.

Trooper Mike Gocke of the NHP Major Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the accident. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident or who may have any information related to the accident is being encouraged to contact Trooper Gocke at (775) 689-4682 or mgocke@dps.state.nv.us.



SPARKS, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- A man has been arrested on suspicion of a hit and run in Sparks.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Dave Gibson, Mark John Kesner was driving southbound on Pyramid Way, when he allegedly cut in front of a motorcycle. After the motorcycle crashed, Kesner allegedly left the scene without stopping.

Kesner is being held at the Washoe County Jail. His bail is set at $20,000.

So why does this guy get arrested and booked and Myree Townsend has yet to spend a night in jail. Myree Townsend caused serious bodily harm and changed someone life forever. Not sure why she gets special treatment...

So legally speaking is it better to get arrested for leaving the scene or DUI.
