RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- February 14 is the day of love, and what better way to show it, then by getting married. Sixteen couples said "I do" in a very unique way: on the Ferris Wheel at Scheels.
Bob and Tanner from K-Bull 98.1 hosted the event. Bob is an ordained minister and officiated all of the weddings. It was called the "Seal the Deal on the Wheel."
K-Bull's Program Director said their phones rang off the hook for people interested in the event. The newlywed couples received $400 in free prizes, including his or her wedding rings, and a honeymoon night in Gardnerville.
Pat & Rachell Gallagher said they had been planning a wedding anyway. "It ended up being a joke, talking about doing this. But we applied and it really saved us a lot of money. It's definitely a unique way to be married."
There was a dance after the weddings, with cupcakes for dessert.
