CARSON CITY, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The victim from Thursday night's altercation in Carson City has passed away from his injuries at Renown Medical Center.

According to Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong, the victim succumbed to his injuries late Friday afternoon. Detectives say brothers Alfredo and Ruri Santiago are being charged with Battery Causing Substantial Bodily Harm. The three men involved in the fight knew each other and were intoxicated.

Sheriff Ken Furlong said officials believe the victim was the aggressor in the altercation, and talks about what investigators believe happened leading up to the events. "Whatever altercation originally took place, it's believed that the victim may have gone to his car, pulled out a weapon that appeared to be a machete-type weapon. He was overcome by the other participants, beaten to the ground, and then some pretty horrific injuries were sustained."

Members with the Special Enforcement Team arrested the Santiago brothers. Both have immigration holds for deportation proceedings after the criminal charges are resolved.

They have deportation holds on them pending the outcome... So did Obama's recently-deceased aunt. Will they too collect benefits and complain bitterly for 13 years "evading" in plain sight?
