RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- Reno Police are searching for a vehicle that allegedly hit a pedestrian, then fled the scene.

According to a spokesperson with the Reno Police Department, the incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, near the intersection of Double Diamond and Wilbur May Parkway in South Reno. Officers say a group of skateboarders were leaving the nearby park, and were crossing the street at a crosswalk when a vehicle struck one of them and left the scene.

Police say a 24-year-old man was crossing Wilbur May near a marked crosswalk on a skateboard when he was hit by an unknown light-colored smaller SUV. The driver of that vehicle allegedly fled the scene and did not wait for police.

The victim has several injuries, including bleeding in the brain and is currenly in ICU. Police believe the vehicle has front end damage. Anyone with information is being asked to call the Reno Police Department or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

You would think that law enforcement would have a link to the DMV database to pull up any vehicle that would match the year, make, and color of the vehicle in question. After that, it is just simple footwork to track down the hit and run pussy!
