SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Police in San Bernardino have arrested a woman suspected of setting her boyfriend on fire after an argument.

Sgt. Gary Robertson says the couple retired to different rooms following the fight Saturday night.

The 43-year-old man says he fell asleep in the living room and awoke at about 7 a.m. with flames on his legs and chest.

His girlfriend was gone but officers arrested her about 12 hours. The Los Angeles Times reported Monday that 52-year-old Stacy Mahle faces charges including attempted arson, attempted murder and domestic violence.

Robertson says the man, whose identity is being withheld, was treated at a hospital for third-degree burns.
