SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in the robbery of a Sparks liquor store.

The clerk at the Around the Corner liquor store was cut on his forearm during a confrontation with the two crooks at the store at North McCarran and Prater Way about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Police say they each grabbed two liquor bottles and tried to flee but the clerk cut them off. He pushed one into the other and two bottles broke on the sidewalk. The clerk gave chase and one suspect threw a jagged bottle neck at him, striking his arm.

A witness thinks they got into a silver Honda Civic. They are described as white or Hispanic, in their 20s between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-1 tall.
