RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) -- The Reno Rodeo Association is holding their second annual race to the 'Wiener’s Circle' -- also known as the Reno Rodeo Wiener Dog Races.
The race is comprised of a 50-foot dachshund sprint to the finish line and will be held Saturday, June 28 in the Reno Livestock Events Center Indoor Pavilion. Volunteers from Wells Fargo will be administering check-in at 1:30 p.m. and pre-trials begin at 2:30 p.m.
The semi-finals and final heats will be held immediately following the pre-trials. Reno Rodeo officials expect over 120 entries. The “Wiener” will receive Reno Rodeo merchandise, a trophy and bragging rights as the Reno Rodeo’s first and fastest dog. Entry in the 2014 Reno Rodeo Wiener Dog Race is free and includes free admission to carnival and shopping areas for two adults. Parking is $6.00 per vehicle and entry forms are available at the Reno Rodeo office, 1350 N. Wells Ave., Reno or online at RenoRodeo.com
