HAWTHORNE, Nev. (AP, KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Mineral County sheriff deputies have apprehended two inmates who escaped from the county jail.

Mineral County District Attorney Sean Rowe says that a resident in Hawthorne found the two inmates in a shed and called authorities Thursday night.

Deputies responded and chased the men on foot before catching up with them about 7:30 p.m. They had managed to escape from the jail in Hawthorne about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Rowe says 18-year-old Shaiitarrio Brown and 20-year-old Devonte Williams both now face new charges of felony escape, conspiracy to escape and resisting arrest.

Brown previously was being held for a probation violation. Williams was due to be sentenced for domestic battery and extradited to San Pablo, Calif., on charges of burglary and failure to appear in court.
