RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Kids are raking in an average of $15 a week in allowance, according to a recent survey. But money earned isn't money saved, and a majority of parents say their kids are spending their allowance just as quickly as they receive it.

But, as the survey found, allowance money is rarely saved. Parents say most of their kid’s allowance is quickly spent on outings with friends or toys.

not sure the intention and concept of allowance and teaching some responsibility works anymore when really young kids have Iphones and are given whatever they ask for....................... they dont learn about earning, respect, and taking care of their stuff when they arent invested in it........... How many get advances on their allowance?
