SPARKS, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Yesterday at Sparks Middle School, a 13-year-old seventh-grader named Angelo Ferro saved the life of his fellow student, D. J. Miller, when he performed the Heimlich Maneuver on him in the lunchroom.

A security camera caught the incident as D.J. began choking on a hamburger, then alerted Angelo that he couldn’t breathe. Angelo first tried to pat D.J. on the back. When that proved unsuccessful, Angelo wrapped both arms around D.J. and performed the maneuver.
