RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A nine-year-old boy decided he didn't want to walk to school and then took his seven-year-old brother in his parents' SUV and attempted to drive to school, Reno Police say.

The nine-year-old drove about two and a half blocks and then took a shortcut down Kirman Avenue where he crashed the SUV into a fence.

The nine-year-old is being cited by police for driving without a driver's license. Both kids were not injured in the crash.

Maybe the 9 year old is the man of the house. He's looking out for his kid brother and wanted to give him a lift to school.

What!!! Why didn't they charge them with Terroristic threats (since that seems to be the new charge for everything), minor in possession of bomb making materials (car bombs are used a lot), and illegal transportation of a minor across the street.

Wasn't anyone watching him? 9 years old is still kind of young not to be watching him do what he's supposed to do. Sounds like he's going to be on the idiot list for a while. I'm being kind.
