CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- Carson City detectives are searching for 22-year-old Michael Brentlinger in connection with the shooting death of one man and injury of a 19-year-old woman, in what appears to be a domestic dispute. Sheriff Ken Furlong says the suspect is armed and dangerous.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting on the 2800-block of Carmine Street in Carson City, around 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Deputies found the man dead and the woman with a gunshot wound to the head. The woman is being treated at Renown Medical Center and her condition is unknown.

The victim's names have not been released, but officials have confirmed they are father and daughter.
Furlong says Brentlinger was recently in custody in the Carson City Jail on charges relating to an alleged assault against the female victim in this case, and the nature of their relationship is unclear at this time.

Officials say Brentlinger fled the scene in a white 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier with Nevada license plate 948-XAT. He is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you've seen Brentlinger or the car, call Carson City Sheriff's Office at 775-887-2013 or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900.

to temeculajim: ABSOLUTELY!!! You never need a gun until you need it desperately. I have been in a gunfight, and have avoided two just because the other people knew I was armed. Yes, I love my gun.

The article was straight forward. I appreciate being able to get my Reno news where I live now. It was a little embarrassing to have to share it with family when someone either does not care to or can't remember to proof read a bit..

Denton & oldguyincc Yes, I understood it. No, I don't think "breaking news" is a reason not to proofread your copy. It is sloppy and unprofessional.
