SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) — The senior citizen charged with killing four young women with alliterative initials decades ago will get one last chance to profess his innocence and fight off a possible death sentence.

Former commercial photographer Joseph Naso is scheduled to deliver his closing arguments Friday to close a riveting two-month Northern California trial.

The 79-year-old Reno man is defending himself against four murder charges that could bring him the death penalty if he's found guilty.

He will attempt to counter the 70 witnesses, a so-called "rape journal" and genetic material prosecutors say link him to at least one victim when he gives his final pitch to the Marin County Superior Court jury.

Naso didn't testify on his behalf, called seven witnesses and rested his case last Friday.
