RENO, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) - The Reno Bighorns have announced the acquisition of Adrian Oliver, who recently attended the Sacramento Kings training camp. Oliver will fill the roster spot held by Cedric Bozeman, who was waived from the team due to injury.
Oliver comes to the Bighorns as a rookie out of San Jose State University, where he became the school’s second all-time scorer in just three seasons. He was the first player at his school to rank in the top five nationally in scoring and the first to do it twice.
He was a two-time all-Western Athletic Conference selection and was named WAC player of the week three times. He holds the school’s career record of 30 point games (17), career fee-throws made (442) and free-throw accuracy (83.6%). He most recently played for Aris B.C. in the Greek Basketball League, where he scored 16 points in the Greek Basketball Cup.
Bozeman has started every game for the Bighorns this season, averaging 14.3 points, 6.2 assists and 5.5 rebounds. The Bighorns will retain his rights.
Fans can see Oliver in action when the team takes on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on January 3rd and 4th at the Reno Events Center. For more information visit
