Alaska Airlines Flight from Seattle to Reno diverted

UPDATE - 6:36PM - The airport says the plane may not arrive until 7:30 and will cause a trickle down of Flight 2250 returning to Seattle to be late to take off at its scheduled time of 7:55.

RENO, Nev. (KRNV & -- An Alaska Airlines Flight from Seattle to Reno was diverted to Sacramento by orders of air traffic control, according to Alaska Airlines

It is now expected to land in Reno at 7:00pm.

Providing the why to this story would require some investigative reporting like maybe a phone call or two. WAY beyong the capabilities of RGJ reporters.

Guesses: 1. Fire/smoke in their flight path? 2. Fugitive on board? 3. Too many down drafts or wind shifts in Reno? 4. Some one had a bad attitude on board? 5. Air traffic control pushing tin? (Landing aircraft one after the other.) Take your pic of wonder whys.
