Arenocross roars out of the gates
RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) –Arenocross has brought the top motorcross professional athletes to the Biggest Little City for the last 23 years, and 2013 is proving to be no different.
The three-day-long event hits the dirt starting Friday night at the Reno Livestock Events Center.
News 4 got to meet with three-time X-Games gold medalist Vicki Golden. She says she loves coming back to northern Nevada.
"One of my favorite stops. The arena is really good. One of the bigger arenas that we typically ride at so that's nice to have a little bit more space, the jumps get a little bigger, and makes for better racing and the fans are always great here in Reno too," Golden says.
Motorcross professionals from around the region will compete in races and in freestyle events.
Amateurs will also get the opportunity to hit the track.
Friday night is family night. Children 12-years-old and younger accompanied by an adult get in to the event for free.
Advanced tickets are $20 for adults and $8 for kids, and are $2 more the day of the show. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Doors open Friday/Saturday at 6:30pm and 10am on Sunday.
